Dallas Arboretum

Last Saturday, we decided to spend most of the day exploring the Dallas Arboretum. David hat received free tickets through work, so we wanted to use them and go while the Dallas in Bloom "exhibition" was going on. It was absolutely beautiful, both the grounds, and the weather that day. The kids had fun (most of the time), and by the end, we were all exhausted. Here are some pictures from that day. :)

On the car ride TO the Arboretum
Lucia and Rhea discovering one of the "art houses" where they had displayed a great artist's work. They had Van Gogh, Monet, and a few other ones.

Papa and two of his girlies :)

They had set up an area reminiscent of the pilgrims; a covered wagon, and several huts (you can see a mud hut in the background. There are a few more pictures of their houses below.

One of the tougher moments for Alexa... she was EXHAUSTED and simply needed to go to sleep. (Which she did, just moments after I took this picture. :) ) Poor third babies... they get carted around much more than their siblings ever did!
A picture of a garden fairy :)

Taking a little break in the shade
A very tame squirrel went to find one of the nuts he had buried earlier. We were literally only a few feet away from him.
Sad that Alexa didn't make it into any of these pictures, but she was sleeping. :)

Smelling the many flowers :)
Peek-a-boo!
Exhausted and sitting in the stroller for a little break
And... the car ride home. This was about 47 seconds after David started the car. :)
Lucia, reading as always.
And Alexa. One tired baby.
