Easter

We had the neighbor girls over on Thursday before Easter to dye eggs together. I was surprised that only one of them broke despite having two two-year-olds at the table who kept trying to do everything themselves. :) We're thankful the girls have some friends around the corner!

Rhea thoroughly enjoying the prospect of blue eggs.

Lucia concentrating hard (and, yes, Rhea put the stickers all over the GLASS. :-/ )

On a hunt for clues to find their new rubber boots
Easter egg hunting is also a spectator sport. Lexi was being VERY patient as this was delaying her bedtime. We didn't get around to hiding the eggs until after 6:00 p.m. because we were invited to some friends' house for lunch and stayed all afternoon...
Yay, rubber boots! What Lucia has "always wanted!!!!" :)

Some cuddle time on Papa's lap. That's how Easter eggs taste the best!
Enjoying some egg residue on his cheek, I presume. :)
And, yes, that's where some of the Easter stickers ended up, too.
What a joy to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord! I love how holidays such as Easter remind us to take time to reflect on these events, and they give us occasions to teach and explain our faith to our children. We are so blessed! (We've really been enjoying reading the Child's Storybook Bible by C. Vos with Lucia recently, and it has sparked some great conversations...)
