Cousin Fun!

For July 4th, we took a trip to Chicago to see David's sister and her family. The girls have been having lots of cousin fun in the pool (and out of it). :-)  When we got here, Chicago was as hot as Texas, but more humid.  And unfortunately, there had been a big storm the day before we arrived, which resulted in a 40+ hour power outage.  So... we were all sweating it out.  It was especially hot upstairs, and since we couldn't even run any ceiling fans the first night, it was pretty uncomfortable.  The second night we had a fan run off of a generator, which made it more bearable.  It was a good reminder to be thankful for luxuries like air conditioning and electricity!  How many people around the world sleep in these hot conditions all the time!  At least we had cool water and a pool to hop into...

Clothes are optional in this heat. :-)  Alexa enjoying some of her cousins' attention

Rhea and Jaida are turning out to be little buds.  They were having a whole conversation in this chair! :)

Hayley and Jaida swimming... a daily occurrence
Lucia is getting braver by the day... she's now wearing goggles and putting her face underwater!

None of our girls is brave enough to do what Jaida is doing here!

A little cooling off in the foutain... it was HOT!

And some battleship time with Grandma and Westen.  Grandma had more help. :-)
