Lucia slipped a bit while trying to climb onto the toilet this evening, which sparked the following conversation.
L: "Wow, Mama, I almost fell into the toilet!!!"
M: "Yeah, I saw that!"
L: "Then you'd have to pull me out and NOT FLUSH!"
... "Because then I wouldn't be here." ... "That would be so SAD!" ... "Mama, but I want to play with toys, and there wouldn't be any toys. You know, in the toilet. What would I do? That would be so sad."
... *thoughtful pause* ...
L: "But I didn't fall into the toilet. That was just a story. I hold myself on and caught myself and I NEVER fall in the toilet."
Phew. Mama's glad. :)
