Your favorite pastime at 5 years old is most certainly READING. You can read fluently (and have been for several months now). It still amazes me how well you can decipher words and understand the content of what you're reading. You are not only interested in children's books, but you read e-mails, websites, cereal boxes, signs, really anything that has words. :) The other day you spent quite some time reading me a website on natural foods and explaining to me where the food was coming from and what the website was advising me to do to live a healthier lifestyle. :) Your large appetite for knowledge has me frequently saying things like, "I don't know. We'll have to look that up on youtube later." (What did parents do before the internet?!?! :) )
You also enjoy crafts: anything with paper, marker, scissors, glue, etc. You like getting ideas from instructions or have something to copy (just like your Oma!). :) You love being silly and having tickle-parties. But you also need your alone-time. You either retreat to your room (which always disappoints Rhea) and read, write, and/or listen to music, or you go sit in Papa's recliner and, in your words, "think of [your] happy thoughts." It always makes me laugh. :) When I ask you what your happy thoughts are about, you usually tell me you're thinking of the "fake world" (from your books or cartoons) and how much you wish you could be there.
You love your sisters dearly, though Rhea does bug you sometimes (especially in the mornings when you're not quite ready to face the day). :-) Know that she just loves you, is happy to see you in the mornings, and looks up to you!
You are very compassionate, responsible, and encouraging. You enjoy helping Rhea (unless you're in the middle of a book ;-) ), you praise her when she does a good job, and you are very compassionate with her when she gets herself in trouble. You almost always help her obey and encourage her to do the right thing (like you go hold her hand and help her come to Mama when I called her and she is not obeying promptly. :) ) Rhea and Alexa are blessed to have you as their big sister! We all love you, Lucilu! :)
