Activities

Some things never change, even when you're in Germany. :-)

Alexa enjoying a little snack time

Two girls in a chair.  (I think Lucia was the teacher and they were playing school.  Alexa didn't last very long. :-) )

On her way to Kindergarten for the first time!!

Riding on the white lion like her sisters, mother, aunt, and others before her. :-)

Lucia had to miss school due to a bad cold, so instead she decided to read the instruction manual to Oma and Opa's new dishwasher... in German.  She said she wanted to learn how to use it.  (One unusual child. :-) )

More dishwasher manual
 Story time with Oma
 Some coloring fun

Nightly routine:  watching "Sandmann" from 6:50 until 7:00 p.m.  And then it's bedtime.

On our way to Kindergarten.  She loves it!  Today her teacher told me that it's going really well.  I asked how the communication was, since Rhea doesn't speak much German on her own yet (though she understands it great).  The teacher said she simply understood what Rhea was saying, and that Rhea in turn understands what the teachers are saying. :-) It'll be interesting to see when (if?) she switches to German!

Outside the door of the Kindergarten

Another nightly routine: Calling Papa at supper or before bed.  Here she's being true to herself and making a silly joke. :-)

Calling Papa!

Rhea is learning how to be a good big sister.  This is not always intuitive to her, but she and Alexa are learning to love each other! :-)

Playing with rubber bands

 Playing peek-a-boo

Discovering snow.  Big sisters were too sick (and actually sleeping at the time) to come outside with us. :-(  Hopefully the snow will last until they can come outside and have some fun too!
