18 Months and David's Birthday

So excited about being 18 months old! And finally having enough hair to hold a little bow (until she tears it and many strands of hair out again). :) Happy half birthday, Rhea! :) (This was on Feb 1st) Woohoo for me!
Sweet little face - don't have too many pictures of Rhea with a more neutral expression... she's usually either all happy or, well, all not happy. :)
Taking a little sip o' tea from her new cup, which she LOVES.
Lucia has one too. Their favorite beverage? Frothed milk. Show them the path on which they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it. ;-)
Lucia's unassisted attempt at spelling her friend Kirsten's name on our fridge. She was pretty proud of herself! :)

Rhea eating a "mena" :)
Toasting the little buns by the fire, trying to get a persistant rash cured. :) I love this picture. And the fact that it was her Papa's idea.
David on the slopes for the second time in his life!! I surprised him for his birthday with a little overnight get-away -- Thank you, Oma, for making it possible!!!! :)
Taking a little phone break at the top of the hill to tell his parents what I whisked him away to. :) They had heard we were going somewhere while we were in the car the night before, but of course didn't know details. So... he had to fill them in. :)
Yay for adult fun! First time that we were away overnight, just the two of us, since before we had kids! That makes more than 3.5 years. It was delightful and too short, and yet we enjoyed coming home to our brood (and Oma). :)
The girls helping me decorate for David's party with our small group.

Party night - Lucia loved having her friend Kirsten there. They played sleep-over while we were having some more adult fun. :) Friends are wonderful, no?
