Ballerina

Finally, Monday came, and with it Lucia's first dance class. We solved the problem with her undies peeking out from under her leotard by just wearing a different pair of undies which don't, well, peek. Once we got to her class, Lucia was delighted to see her little friend Maddy there, waiting for her. The parents didn't get to watch the whole time, but were called in for the last five minutes to allow the kids to show off their newly acquired dance skills, and probably to limit the distracting camera flashes. :-)

"So... how did it go?" you're probably wondering. Well... Lucia's response would probably be, "good!" (yes, yes, I know, it should be "well!"), but I'm not sure how the instructor would respond... Maddy's dad said if he had to teach that class, he'd always go straight to Happy Hour afterwards. I had a similar sentiment. :-) But considering it was their first class, it probably wasn't all that crazy.

Here's the first picture. Lucia's friend Maddy is the little blond girl right by Lucia's side.
All the girls are supposed to be doing exactly what the instructor is doing. Hence the reference to Happy Hour. :-)

Here, the instructor wanted them to STAND in a circle and all hold hands, and I think point their one foot into the middle and then pull it back again. Except that all the girls kept pulling the circle around and around, like ring-around-the-rosies. :-)

Here's Lucia's posed smile.

My sweet ballerina - can't wait to see how the next class goes. :)
