Happy New Year!

What is this funny thing in my hand?!
Oh! I'm five months old today! The cupcake on my shirt is in celebration of this big milestone.

And....

Welcome 2010! We're thankful for a busy and somewhat stressful 2009, but nonetheless filled with many blessings! The main blessing was the birth of our little girl, Rhea, who is 5 months old today! We survived a move from South Carolina to Wisconsin, and David transitioned to a new position. Now we're sitting in our new house, watching the Rose Parade with family, and are so thankful that God has brought us through another year. Both kids went to bed at their normal time on New Year's Eve (phew!), and we passed the time until midnight by talking, watching a soccer game (the men) and doing a fun, 500 piece puzzle (the ladies). Here are some recent pictures of our time together:

Lucia holding her baby by the fire. She is a good mommy.

Here's another picture of Rhea's teeth! She now officially has two, and though her top right one isn't all the way through, it won't be long before she has three!

Lucia giving a BIG hug to Grandma. She loves having more people around than just Mama and Papa (and Rhea). :-)

Grandma and Rhea sharing a giggle.

Papa and Lucia reading a book by the fire, a nightly tradition.

Westen sometime after Christmas stroking his new best friend. He and his guitar were inseparable.

Westen holding Rhea like a big, responsible, French cousin. He enjoyed wearing Grandpa's hat around the house.
