Alone Time

It was inevitable... one of these encounters with a quickly closed door would lead to a little finger getting smashed. And today was the day: Lucia wanted some "alone-time" and Rhea, of course, wanted to be with Lucia. So Lucia ran to her room and tried to close to door, but Rhea is getting pretty quick on her knees! And the end of the story is a big, swollen, and red left thumb. :-( I took her to the local clinic just in case it was broken, but by the time I got there, Rhea seemed fine, was holding her little fuzzy in her left hand and was ok crawling around. So thankfully, the bone should be intact. The doctor pushed around on her thumb a bit and took her temperature (?!) and weighed her, so we can now report that she's officially 20 pounds. :-) Whatever it takes to make sure your babies are ok.
